Josepha Rood is the founder of Blue Streak Interior Design, a Seattle-based studio known for thoughtful interiors that balance confident ideas with clarity, cohesion, and livability. She works closely with clients to shape spaces that feel expressive yet grounded, supporting everyday life without feeling overdesigned.
Drawing on a background in professional project management and close collaboration with architecture firms, Josepha brings a structured, intentional approach to the design process. By focusing on clarity early in the process, she helps clients make confident decisions that allow materials, layouts, and details to work together in a cohesive way. Her work is informed by an understanding of how environments influence mood, behavior, and well-being, guiding choices that feel both intuitive and well considered.
Josepha is actively engaged in the local design community through continuing education and professional organizations, including NWSID and NKBA.
A trained Interior Designer, Kirsten Conner has been beautifying residential spaces in the Seattle area for nearly two decades. Kirsten’s career has allowed her to build a strong network of craftspeople she can rely on. They bring their creative solutions and an unparalleled level of custom work. Her trusted vendors are part of your design team. She offers full-service design ranging from kitchen remodels to custom drapery to furniture plans. She has won awards for her work from the International Designer Society (IDS), the National Kitchen & Bath Association, and the Remodeling Excellence Awards from Master Builders Association. The Wall Street Journal, Seattle Times, and 425 Magazine have all featured her. Her mission statement is Love Where You Live.
From concept to installation, I will guide you through the design and remodel process. My collaborative approach merges form and function, working with the character of your home, to incorporate details that reflect your personality and speak to your lifestyle. With a background in Fashion Design and Product Development, I have traveled overseas and worked directly with factories to find creative practical solutions for even the most challenging projects.
As an active member in the Design community, I continually find opportunities to expand my professional education, gain product knowledge, and attend trade shows to stay ahead of the trends. I am a member of NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and was past President for the NWSID (Northwest Society of Interior Designers).
The Northwest is my home and I truly enjoy getting to know each client as we work together.
